I read the article about you in the New York Times last month, and was inspired by it. That article led me to this website. For a few weeks now I have been thinking about this quote which I found therein: "It is in caring for people with disabilities that I have learned to love myself with all my many imperfections." What a beautiful thought - akin to "It is in giving that we receive." God bless you, Dr. Dutkowsky, as you continue following your calling in life.

Dr. Dutkowsky, I brought my daughter, Terri Anne, who was diagnosed w/ mild Cerebral Palsy when she was 8mos old, in to see you a few times, in Cobleskill. I am very pleased, and grateful, for you. You helped explain her diagnosis to me, and helped me to accept this. SHe is now, a very healthy, vibrant, 13 yr. old. Doing 99% of ADL's herself. Because of your encouragement, and the help of physical therapists, and occupational therapists, she is thriving, and interested in cooking, and becoming a veternarian one day. I just wanted you to know that we are truly blessed to have met you, and thankful for your kindness. We will be seeing again, in the near future.

We who know and understand the way you approach all who come in contact with you even if only occasionally stand in awe and realize that your work relieves pain and suffering which is no small feat.

Dear Doctor Dutkowsky, I enjoyed your article very much. The "Canto Grande Trilogy was outstanding. I had the pleasure of travelling to Canto Grande several years ago to see the work that my brother Father David Farrell is doing. I too was amazed and forever changed by this experience. Thank you so much for your generous gift to the people of Canto Grande.
